Kiraat: Al-Baqarah 2:164
ان في خلق السماوات والارض واختلاف الليل والنهار والفلك التي تجري في البحر بما ينفع الناس وما انزل الله من السماء من ماء فاحيا به الارض بعد موتها وبث فيها من كل دابة وتصريف الرياح والسحاب المسخر بين السماء والارض لايات لقوم يعقلون ١٦٤
إِنَّ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱخْتِلَـٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلَّتِى تَجْرِى فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِمَا يَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن مَّآءٍۢ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍۢ وَتَصْرِيفِ ٱلرِّيَـٰحِ وَٱلسَّحَابِ ٱلْمُسَخَّرِ بَيْنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ ١٦٤
إِنَّﱁ
فِيﱂ
خَلۡقِﱃ
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِﱄ
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِﱅ
وَٱخۡتِلَٰفِﱆ
ٱلَّيۡلِﱇ
وَٱلنَّهَارِﱈ
وَٱلۡفُلۡكِﱉ
ٱلَّتِيﱊ
تَجۡرِيﱋ
فِيﱌ
ٱلۡبَحۡرِﱍ
بِمَاﱎ
يَنفَعُﱏ
ٱلنَّاسَﱐ
وَمَآﱑ
أَنزَلَﱒ
ٱللَّهُﱓ
مِنَﱔ
ٱلسَّمَآءِﱕ
مِنﱖ
مَّآءٖﱗ
فَأَحۡيَاﱘ
بِهِﱙ
ٱلۡأَرۡضَﱚ
بَعۡدَﱛ
مَوۡتِهَاﱜ
وَبَثَّﱝ
فِيهَاﱞ
مِنﱟ
كُلِّﱠ
دَآبَّةٖﱡ
وَتَصۡرِيفِﱢ
ٱلرِّيَٰحِﱣ
وَٱلسَّحَابِﱤ
ٱلۡمُسَخَّرِﱥ
بَيۡنَﱦ
ٱلسَّمَآءِﱧ
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِﱨ
لَأٓيَٰتٖﱩ
لِّقَوۡمٖﱪ
يَعۡقِلُونَﱫ
١٦٤ﱬ
Është fakt se në krijimin e qiejve e të tokës, në ndërrimin e natës e të ditës, të anijes që lundron në det që u sjell dobi njerëzve, në atë shi që e lëshon All-llahu prej së larti e me të ngjall tokën pas vdekjes së saj dhe përhapë në te nga çdo lloj gjallese, në qarkullimin e erërave dhe reve të nënshtruara mes qiellit e tokës, (në të gjitha këto), për një popull që ka mend ka argumente.

وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيَاحِ
wa-taṣrīfi r-riyāḥi
وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيْحِ
wa-taṣrīfi r-rīḥi

He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel

Shpjegim
The two readings convey the same meaning using the plural and singular (genus), respectively. There is a general pattern in the Quran (among most of its canonical readers) to use the plural in contexts of mercy, i.e. the gentle winds that bring multiple benefits. The singular is more associated with contexts of punishment, as this indicates a singular force. However, this rule has a number of exceptions which may also be explained in a more nuanced way.
