6:70
وذر الذين اتخذوا دينهم لعبا ولهوا وغرتهم الحياة الدنيا وذكر به ان تبسل نفس بما كسبت ليس لها من دون الله ولي ولا شفيع وان تعدل كل عدل لا يوخذ منها اولايك الذين ابسلوا بما كسبوا لهم شراب من حميم وعذاب اليم بما كانوا يكفرون ٧٠
وَذَرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ لَعِبًۭا وَلَهْوًۭا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَذَكِّرْ بِهِۦٓ أَن تُبْسَلَ نَفْسٌۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِىٌّۭ وَلَا شَفِيعٌۭ وَإِن تَعْدِلْ كُلَّ عَدْلٍۢ لَّا يُؤْخَذْ مِنْهَآ ۗ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُبْسِلُوا۟ بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ ۖ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌۭ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍۢ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ ٧٠
وَذَرِﱎ
ٱلَّذِينَﱏ
ٱتَّخَذُواْﱐ
دِينَهُمۡﱑ
لَعِبٗاﱒ
وَلَهۡوٗاﱓ
وَغَرَّتۡهُمُﱔ
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُﱕ
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۚﱖﱗ
وَذَكِّرۡﱘ
بِهِۦٓﱙ
أَنﱚ
تُبۡسَلَﱛ
نَفۡسُۢﱜ
بِمَاﱝ
كَسَبَتۡﱞ
لَيۡسَﱟ
لَهَاﱠ
مِنﱡ
دُونِﱢ
ٱللَّهِﱣ
وَلِيّٞﱤ
وَلَاﱥ
شَفِيعٞﱦ
وَإِنﱧ
تَعۡدِلۡﱨ
كُلَّﱩ
عَدۡلٖﱪ
لَّاﱫ
يُؤۡخَذۡﱬ
مِنۡهَآۗﱭﱮ
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَﱯ
ٱلَّذِينَﱰ
أُبۡسِلُواْﱱ
بِمَاﱲ
كَسَبُواْۖﱳﱴ
لَهُمۡﱵ
شَرَابٞﱶ
مِّنۡﱷ
حَمِيمٖﱸ
وَعَذَابٌﱹ
أَلِيمُۢﱺ
بِمَاﱻ
كَانُواْﱼ
يَكۡفُرُونَﱽ
٧٠ﱾ
Distancia-te daqueles que tomam a religião por jogo e diversão, a quem ilude a vida terrena, e relembra-lhes que todo oser será penitenciado pelo que cometer e não terá, além de Deus, protetor, nem intercessor algum; e ainda que ofereçaqualquer resgate, não lho será aceito. Os ignóbeis serão entregues ao tormento, pelo que cometeram, e terão, por bebida, água fervente e um doloroso castigo, por sua ignomínia.

‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas says that God fixed a religious festival day (‘Id) for every community, the purpose being that on that day they should glorify God, offer prayers to Him and fill the whole day with His remembrance. Those who came later made their religious festival (‘Id) a day of fun and frolic. (Tafsir Kabir). There is a purpose behind every religious activity and then there is its outward aspect too. The purpose of ‘Id’ is the collective demonstration of the glorification of God and His remembrance. But too much attention is paid to the externals of ‘Id—for example, the wearing of good clothes, arrangements for group activities, etc. Now, making ‘Id a mere event of fun and frolic amounts to neglecting its real purpose, which becomes forgotten in the fuss which is made about its outward and material aspects, such as a show of good clothes and possessions, the hustle and bustle of shopping, arrangements for entertainment, and the pomp which goes with a show of one’s position, etc.
