Non-English homepage locale roots are intended to return stable, localized HTML with matching language metadata and reciprocal hreflang. Frontend code does not apply a separate locale redirect; Pakistan delivery behavior is owned by the backend/edge configuration and must be verified after its release before localized roots are treated as crawlable alternates. ## Source and citation guidance - Arabic is the Qur’anic source text. Quote Arabic exactly as displayed. - Translations and tafsir are attributed interpretive and supporting works. Preserve the displayed translator and tafsir attribution, and do not combine translations without attribution. - Hadith, lessons, and generated summaries are supporting content and must remain clearly labeled as such; they are not Quran text or automatically authoritative religious guidance. - When citing an ayah, cite the canonical ayah URL and identify the Surah and ayah number. - Reflections are user and community content. They may not match the selected interface language and must not be presented as Qur’an text or Quran.com editorial or religious guidance. ## Canonical URL convention Canonical single-ayah pages use one localized Surah path followed by the ayah number. English is unprefixed, while other supported languages use one locale prefix. This file is discovery guidance only and does not replace canonical HTML, hreflang, structured data, internal links, or XML sitemaps. For source, methodology, support, and authority context, see [About the Quran](https://quran.com/about-the-quran), [About Quran.com](https://quran.com/about-us), [Support](https://quran.com/support), and [Developer resources](https://quran.com/developers). Add further methodology links only when they are maintained canonical pages. ## Canonical Al-Mulk 67:2 examples - [en] https://quran.com/al-mulk/2 - [ar] https://quran.com/ar/al-mulk/2 - [bn] https://quran.com/bn/al-mulk/2 - [fa] https://quran.com/fa/al-mulk/2 - [fr] https://quran.com/fr/la-royaute/2 - [id] https://quran.com/id/kerajaan/2 - [it] https://quran.com/it/la-sovranita/2 - [nl] https://quran.com/nl/de-heerschappij/2 - [pt] https://quran.com/pt/al-mulk/2 - [ru] https://quran.com/ru/власть/2 - [sq] https://quran.com/sq/al-mulk/2 - [th] https://quran.com/th/al-mulk/2 - [tr] https://quran.com/tr/mulk/2 - [ur] https://quran.com/ur/al-mulk/2 - [zh] https://quran.com/zh/国权/2 - [ms] https://quran.com/ms/al-mulk/2 - [es] https://quran.com/es/al-mulk/2 - [sw] https://quran.com/sw/al-mulk/2 - [vi] https://quran.com/vi/al-mulk/2 ## Sitemaps - [Single-ayah sitemap index](https://quran.com/sitemap-ayahs.xml) - [General Quran.com sitemap](https://quran.com/sitemap.xml) - [Translation sitemap](https://quran.com/sitemap-translations.xml)
