اتخذناهم سخريا ام زاغت عنهم الابصار ٦٣

أَتَّخَذْنَـٰهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ ٦٣

خوانش‌ها

أَتَّخَذۡنَاهُمۡ سِخۡرِيًّا

a-ttakhadhnāhum sikhriyyan

أَتَّخَذۡنَاهُمۡ سُخۡرِيًّا

a-ttakhadhnāhum sukhriyyan

“Did we really take them as a laughing-stock?”

These two readings contain an interrogative hamzah. There are two linguistic forms for the accusative word.

اتَّخَذۡنَاهُمۡ سِخۡرِيًّا

ittakhadhnāhum sikhriyyan

اتَّخَذۡنَاهُمۡ سُخۡرِيًّا

ittakhadhnāhum sukhriyyan

“and took as a laughing-stock”

These two readings have the verb without an interrogative particle.
