وعلمناه صنعة لبوس لكم لتحصنكم من باسكم فهل انتم شاكرون ٨٠

وَعَلَّمْنَـٰهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوسٍۢ لَّكُمْ لِتُحْصِنَكُم مِّنۢ بَأْسِكُمْ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُمْ شَـٰكِرُونَ ٨٠

وَعَلَّمۡنَٰهُ

صَنۡعَةَ

لَبُوسٖ

لَّكُمۡ

لِتُحۡصِنَكُم

مِّنۢ

بَأۡسِكُمۡۖ

فَهَلۡ

أَنتُمۡ

شَٰكِرُونَ

٨٠

و ساختن زره را بخاطر شما به او آموختیم، تا شما را از (آسیب) جنگ‌هایتان محفوظ دارد، پس آیا شکر گزار هستید؟!.

خوانش‌ها

لِتُحۡصِنَكُمْ

li-tuḥṣinakum

“so it may protect you”

This verb is conjugated in the third person feminine singular, going back to the word ṣanʿah, i.e. this craft offers protection.

لِيُحۡصِنَكُمْ

li-yuḥṣinakum

“so it may protect you”

This verb is conjugated in the third person masculine singular, going back to the word labūs, the protective armour.

لِنُحۡصِنَكُمْ

li-nuḥṣinakum

“so We may protect you”

This verb is conjugated in the first-person majestic plural, i.e. Allah protects through what He has taught mankind.
