فانك لا تسمع الموتى ولا تسمع الصم الدعاء اذا ولوا مدبرين ٥٢
فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَلَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا وَلَّوْا۟ مُدْبِرِينَ ٥٢
فَإِنَّكَ

ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ
وَلَا
تُسۡمِعُ
ٱلصُّمَّ
ٱلدُّعَآءَ
إِذَا
وَلَّوۡاْ
مُدۡبِرِينَ

Tú no puedes hacer que los muertos oigan ni que los sordos [los que no quieren oír] escuchen la prédica si la rechazan dándote la espalda.

tusmiʿu ṣ-ṣumma
“You will not make the deaf hear”
This is a form IV verb addressed to the Prophet (ﷺ), like the one before it.
يَسْمَعُ الصُّمُّ
yasmaʿu ṣ-ṣummu
“The deaf will not hear”
This is a form I verb conjugated for the spiritually deaf people themselves.
