وان نكثوا ايمانهم من بعد عهدهم وطعنوا في دينكم فقاتلوا ايمة الكفر انهم لا ايمان لهم لعلهم ينتهون ١٢

وَإِن نَّكَثُوٓا۟ أَيْمَـٰنَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ عَهْدِهِمْ وَطَعَنُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ فَقَـٰتِلُوٓا۟ أَئِمَّةَ ٱلْكُفْرِ ۙ إِنَّهُمْ لَآ أَيْمَـٰنَ لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَنتَهُونَ ١٢

وَاِنْ

نَّكَثُوْۤا

اَیْمَانَهُمْ

مِّنْ

بَعْدِ

عَهْدِهِمْ

وَطَعَنُوْا

فِیْ

دِیْنِكُمْ

فَقَاتِلُوْۤا

اَىِٕمَّةَ

الْكُفْرِ ۙ

اِنَّهُمْ

لَاۤ

اَیْمَانَ

لَهُمْ

لَعَلَّهُمْ

یَنْتَهُوْنَ

۟

Dan jika mereka melanggar sumpah setelah ada perjanjian, dan mencerca agamamu, maka perangilah pemimpin-pemimpin kafir itu. Sesungguhnya mereka adalah orang-orang yang tidak dapat dipegang janjinya, mudah-mudahan mereka berhenti.

lā aymāna

“their oaths are meaningless”

This reading has the plural of yamīn, meaning an oath; the polytheists had already violated the agreements.

إِيْمَـانَ

lā īmāna

"they do not uphold (their pledges of) security" OR "they are not to be granted security"

This is the form IV verbal noun which commonly means 'faith', but here has the sense of the form I verb, i.e. security.
