And in ˹the story of˺ Thamûd ˹was another lesson,˺ when they were told, “Enjoy yourselves ˹only˺ for a ˹short˺ while.”1

وفي شأن ثمود وإهلاكهم آيات وعبر، إذ قيل لهم -والقائل نبيهم صالح عليه السلام-: تمتعوا في داركم ثلاثة أيام حتى تنتهي آجالكم. فعصوا أمر ربهم، فأخذتهم صاعقة العذاب، وهم ينظرون إلى عقوبتهم بأعينهم.
