وما من دابة في الارض ولا طاير يطير بجناحيه الا امم امثالكم ما فرطنا في الكتاب من شيء ثم الى ربهم يحشرون ٣٨
وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٍۢ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا طَـٰٓئِرٍۢ يَطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلَّآ أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُم ۚ مَّا فَرَّطْنَا فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ مِن شَىْءٍۢ ۚ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُونَ ٣٨
وَمَا
مِن
دَآبَّةٖ
فِي
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
وَلَا
طَٰٓئِرٖ
يَطِيرُ
بِجَنَاحَيۡهِ
إِلَّآ
أُمَمٌ
أَمۡثَالُكُمۚ
مَّا
فَرَّطۡنَا
فِي
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
مِن
شَيۡءٖۚ
ثُمَّ
إِلَىٰ
رَبِّهِمۡ
يُحۡشَرُونَ
٣٨
All living beings roaming the earth and winged birds soaring in the sky are communities like yourselves.1 We have left nothing out of the Record.2 Then to their Lord they will be gathered all together.

I have Ayah 67 of Suratul Mulk, handwritten upon my wall. Before, I studied the tafsir of Suratul Mulk this ayah would always intrigue me. When children are young they always wish they could 'fly' and I too wished that I could soar into the sky. I remember I would look at the birds enviously that they can fly from one place to another. 1. Unity of Allah is the reality in this universe.
2. Polytheism has no foundation.
3. Prophet Ibrahim -peace be upon him- preached Tawhid. Other Prophets also gave the same message.
4. Allah's judgment will come and the truth will prevail.
5. Allah gives right the guidance about food and other matters of life.

6: Surah al-An'am (Livestock)

* 6th Surah according to the arrangement of the Qur'an; 55th according to the order of revelation.
* Verses: 165 verses .
* It was revealed in Makkah about 1 or 2 years before the Hijrah.
* High emphasis on Tawhid (Creed). It contains basic principles of Tawhid. It gives beautiful description of Allah's creative power. It criticizes Shirk and its manifestations.
