They will each be assigned ranks according to their deeds. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And for all are degrees [i.e., positions resulting] from what they have done. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do.

— Saheeh International

Your Lord is the Self-Sufficient, Full of Mercy. If He wills, He can do away with you and replace you with whoever He wills, just as He produced you from the offspring of other people.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And your Lord is the Free of need, the possessor of mercy. If He wills, He can do away with you and give succession after you to whomever He wills, just as He produced you from the descendants of another people.

— Saheeh International

Indeed, what you have been promised will certainly come to pass. And you will have no escape.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

Indeed, what you are promised is coming, and you will not cause failure [to Allah].1

— Saheeh International

ﭿ

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “O my people! Persist in your ways, for I ˹too˺ will persist in mine. You will soon know who will fare best in the end. Indeed, the wrongdoers will never succeed.”

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

Say, "O my people, work according to your position; [for] indeed, I am working. And you are going to know who will have succession in the home.1 Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed."

— Saheeh International

The pagans set aside for Allah a share of the crops and cattle He created, saying, “This ˹portion˺ is for Allah,” so they claim, “and this ˹one˺ for our associate-gods.” Yet the portion of their associate-gods is not shared with Allah while Allah’s portion is shared with their associate-gods. What unfair judgment!

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And they [i.e., the polytheists] assign to Allah from that which He created of crops and livestock a share and say, "This is for Allah," by their claim, "and this is for our 'partners' [associated with Him]." But what is for their "partners" does not reach Allah, while what is for Allah - this reaches their "partners." Evil is that which they rule.

— Saheeh International

Likewise, the pagans’ evil associates have made it appealing to them to kill their own children—only leading to their destruction as well as confusion in their faith. Had it been Allah’s Will, they would not have done such a thing. So leave them and their falsehood.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And likewise, to many of the polytheists their partners1 have made [to seem] pleasing the killing of their children in order to bring about their destruction and to cover them with confusion in their religion. And if Allah had willed, they would not have done so. So leave them and that which they invent.

— Saheeh International

They say, “These cattle and crops are reserved—none may eat them except those we permit,” so they claim. Some other cattle are exempted from labour and others are not slaughtered in Allah’s Name—falsely attributing lies to Him. He will repay them for their lies.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And they say, "These animals1 and crops are forbidden; no one may eat from them except whom we will," by their claim. And there are those [camels] whose backs are forbidden [by them]2 and those upon which the name of Allah is not mentioned3 - [all of this] an invention of untruth about Him.4 He will punish them for what they were inventing.

— Saheeh International

ﭿ

They ˹also˺ say, “The offspring of this cattle is reserved for our males and forbidden to our females; but if it is stillborn, they may all share it.” He will repay them for their falsehood. Surely He is All-Wise, All-Knowing.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And they say, "What is in the bellies of these animals1 is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our females. But if it is [born] dead, then all of them have shares therein." He will punish them for their description.2 Indeed, He is Wise and Knowing.

— Saheeh International

Lost indeed are those who have murdered their own children foolishly out of ignorance and have forbidden what Allah has provided for them—falsely attributing lies to Allah. They have certainly strayed and are not ˹rightly˺ guided.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

They will have lost who killed their children in foolishness without knowledge and prohibited what Allah had provided for them, inventing untruth about Allah. They have gone astray and were not [rightly] guided.

— Saheeh International

He is the One Who produces gardens—both cultivated and wild1—and palm trees, crops of different flavours, olives, and pomegranates—similar ˹in shape˺, but dissimilar ˹in taste˺. Eat of the fruit they bear and pay the dues at harvest, but do not waste. Surely He does not like the wasteful.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And He it is who causes gardens to grow, [both] trellised and untrellised, and palm trees and crops of different [kinds of] food and olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Eat of [each of] its fruit when it yields and give its due [zakāh] on the day of its harvest. And be not excessive.1 Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess.

— Saheeh International

Some cattle are fit for labour, others are too small.1 Eat of what Allah has provided for you and do not follow Satan’s footsteps. Certainly, he is your sworn enemy.

— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And of the grazing livestock are carriers [of burdens] and those [too] small. Eat of what Allah has provided for you and do not follow the footsteps of Satan.1 Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.

— Saheeh International
