And ˹on Judgment Day˺ Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you ever ask the people to worship you and your mother as gods besides Allah?” He will answer, “Glory be to You! How could I ever say what I had no right to say? If I had said such a thing, you would have certainly known it. You know what is ˹hidden˺ within me, but I do not know what is within You. Indeed, You ˹alone˺ are the Knower of all unseen.

وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ
The Arabs back before the revelation used to do this evil act where they used to bury the young girls alive. If one of the men were told that their wife gave birth to a girl it would be like the worst moments of their life and they would feel ashamed for it. They felt their honour was lost ; as a result they would go and bury her alive in the desert.

بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍ قُتِلَتْ
Allah is saying that when the girl ...

When the imam recited the word سبحانك
It caused me to think, at a time when Allah is questioning Jesus A.S infront of all humanity including Christians concerning the accusation that his followers had made about Allah swt that would've caused the earth and mountains to erupt.
The word that comes out of Jesus A.S is سبحانك
How befitting.

Reflecting onto myself.
A man doesn't truly appreciate his Lord. Having a Lord that is perfect. Who will...

What has always intrigued me most about this powerful passage is the question: why does Jesus AS provide such a long response to a question that he knows very well that Allah SWT already knows the answer to? Surely Jesus AS didn't doubt that Allah SWT knew that he was innocent of the claims made against him that he called his followers to his own worship, so couldn't he simply answer with : 'No I did not'?

What I believe elicited such a long res...

In the Qur’an we are reminded we will be subject to tests and tribulations whilst we are alive upon upon this earth. These two attributes is something a Muslim should never eve...
