These are accounts, We relate to you ˹O Prophet˺, of the ˹destroyed˺ cities. Some are still standing ˹barren˺, while others have been mowed down.

لما ذكر تعالى خبر هؤلاء الأنبياء ، وما جرى لهم مع أممهم ، وكيف أهلك الكافرين ونجى المؤمنين قال :( ذلك من أنباء القرى ) أي : من أخبارها ( نقصه عليك منها قائم ) أي : عامر ، ( وحصيد ) أي : هالك دائر
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
