Surat Al-Ĥāqqah (The Reality) - سورة الحاقة
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The Inevitable Reality -Muhsin Khan
The Reality (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)!

And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality?Muhsin Khan
And what will make you know what the Reality is?
Sahih International
Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity.Muhsin Khan
Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]!
Sahih International
So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast].Muhsin Khan
As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the awful cry!

And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent windMuhsin Khan
And as for 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind;

Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.Muhsin Khan
Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms!

Then do you see of them any remains?Muhsin Khan
Do you see any remnants of them?
Sahih International
And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin.Muhsin Khan
And Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and those before him, and the cities overthrown [the towns of the people of [Lout (Lot)] committed sin,
