Surat Aş-Şāffāt (Those who set the Ranks) - سورة الصافات
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Sahih International
By those [angels] lined up in rowsMuhsin Khan
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows).

Sahih International
And those who drive [the clouds]Muhsin Khan
By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way.

Sahih International
And those who recite the message,Muhsin Khan
By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir].

Sahih International
Indeed, your God is One,Muhsin Khan
Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah);

Sahih International
Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises.Muhsin Khan
Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah).

Sahih International
Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of starsMuhsin Khan
Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty).

Sahih International
And as protection against every rebellious devilMuhsin Khan
And to guard against every rebellious devil.

Sahih International
[So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side,Muhsin Khan
They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side.

Sahih International
Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment,Muhsin Khan
Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment.
