وَلَوۡ

نَشَآءُ

لَمَسَخۡنَٰهُمۡ

عَلَىٰ

مَكَانَتِهِمۡ

فَمَا

ٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْ

مُضِيّٗا

وَلَا

يَرۡجِعُونَ

٦٧

And had We willed, We could have transfigured them on the spot,¹ so they could neither progress forward nor turn back.
